Senegal Friendly Match is Vital for the Crane’s Preparation

Last week, an international friendly match between Uganda and Senegal was confirmed by the Federation of Uganda Football Association (FUFA). The friendly match between the Cranes and the Lions of Teranga will take place on June 6, 2017 in Dakar. For Uganda, this is a match that will be played on their way to Cape Verde for the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier.

Sredojevic said facing a high-profile team like Senegal will give them the best preparation before taking going to Cape Verde.

“It is important that we prepare well ahead of the first game in the 2019 Afcon qualifiers,” added the Serbian-born coach.

For Micho, this will be a great test and additional experience for his team and he expressed his gratitude for having landed such a high profile build up match. He is also expected to name the team for the match during the course of the week.

Senegal, led by head coach Aliou Cisse anticipate a win based on the experience of some of its more prominent players such as Liverpool’s Sadio Mane, Everton’s Idrissa Gana Gueye, Kalidou Koulibaly (Napoli), Henri Saivet (Saint Etienne) and Cheikhou Kouyaté (West Ham).
